Objectives
COHABIT aims at deploying an open service plateform to improve the quality of life and global wellness of people having disabilities and elderly people.
Deployment
This project will give access to a panel of services at home, in buildings and in the city. Targetted terminals are TVs (home), mobile phones (home & outside) and telethesis (home & outside).
This project is co-financed by the European Union. Europe is involved in Ile-de-France with the European fund for regional development.
Expected Results
From a research point of view, COHABIT's purpose is to explore context awareness aspects such as service continuity, meaning the way to provide the same service in different places on different terminals.
From an industrial point of view, COHABIT will be a starting point to launch a new generation of Set Top Box (STB) for IPTV and an innovative telethesis.

At this step, StreamVision installed a prototype (june 2011) on the ADEP site in Evry, which allows broadcast of organized dynamic information on one or several screens. A feedback is needed to improve the result and fulfill the dependant people's expectations.
